Who we are
Zinta is a product of Zinwave Innovations, a studio based in Bengaluru, India. We are the data controller for your account, and you can reach a human at hello@zinwave.in.
The two kinds of data here, and why the difference matters
Almost every question about this product comes down to one distinction.
Your account data — your name, email, company, what you sell and who you want to reach. You gave it to us, we are the controller, and everything below about access, export and deletion applies to it.
Prospect data — the business contact details of people at the companies Zinta surfaces for you. For this, you are the controller and we are your processor. We find it in public sources on your instruction, hold it in your account, and never use it for our own purposes or anyone else's. We also never send anything to those people: Zinta writes a draft and stops, and you send it from your own mailbox. That is a deliberate design choice and it means the decision to contact someone, and the responsibility for it, stays with the person who can actually judge whether it is appropriate.
What we collect about you, and why
| What | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email, company | To create your account, sign you in, and sign the drafts Zinta writes | Performance of a contract |
| Password (hashed with scrypt, never stored in the clear) | To let you sign in and nobody else | Performance of a contract |
| Your product URL, offer, target customer and signals | This is what the hunt searches from — without it there is no product | Performance of a contract |
| Payment status and subscription id | To know whether your plan is active. Card details never reach us; the payment provider holds them | Performance of a contract |
| Run history and which prospects you approved or skipped | To avoid showing you the same company twice, and to narrow the search as you reject | Legitimate interest in the service working as sold |
| Basic server logs | To find and fix faults, and to spot abuse of the free demo | Legitimate interest in a working, non-abused service |
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your account data, your targeting, or the companies Zinta finds for you to train any model. We do not build a shared contact database out of what we find for customers — every account's prospects stay in that account.
Who processes it on our behalf
Running this needs a small number of suppliers. Each gets only what it needs.
| Who | What they see | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services | Everything stored: the application, database and backups | Mumbai, India (ap-south-1) |
| Anthropic | The page text and targeting sent with each analysis or hunt. Not used to train their models under their commercial terms | United States |
| Razorpay | Your billing details. Card numbers go to them, never to us | India |
| GitHub | Runs the scheduled hunt on managed plans | United States |
| Email provider | The address we send account email to | See our contact page |
Some of these are outside India and the EEA, so your data may be transferred internationally. Those transfers rely on the suppliers' standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Your account and its prospects are kept while your account is open. Delete your account and both go within 30 days, backups included. Server logs are kept for 30 days. Anything we must keep for tax or accounting — invoices, essentially — we keep for as long as Indian law requires, and no longer.
Your rights, and the buttons that action them
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR, and under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, object to how it is used, or take it elsewhere. Two of those are buttons rather than requests, because a right you have to email someone about is a right with friction in it:
- Export everything — a complete JSON file of your account, targeting, runs and every prospect, from your account page.
- Delete your account — same page. It removes your login, your agent, your targeting and every prospect. It cannot be undone.
- Anything else — correction, objection, or a question about the above — reaches us at hello@zinwave.in and we answer within 30 days.
If you are in the EEA or the UK and think we have handled something badly, you can complain to your local supervisory authority. We would rather you told us first.
If you are one of the people Zinta surfaced
You may have found this page after an email that mentioned it. The customer who contacted you chose to, and holds your details in their account — they are the controller, so a request to see or delete what they hold goes to them first. If you cannot reach them, write to hello@zinwave.in and we will pass it on and act on it ourselves where we can.
For what it is worth: Zinta only surfaces business contact details from public sources, only for a role-relevant reason, never guesses an address, and never sends anything itself.
Cookies
One cookie, and it is the session that keeps you signed in. It is httpOnly and SameSite=strict, so no script on the page can read it and it is not sent from other sites. No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers — which is why there is no consent banner in your way.
Changes
If we change this in a way that affects you, we will email you before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
